With CrystalTube, a wide range of light and sound effects, interactive touchpoints, entertainment products, and thermal and acoustic insulation, existing and new facilities can be specifically enhanced—visually, emotionally, and technically.
CrystalTube – Transparent Sliding Moments
The CrystalTube elements, made of acrylic glass, open up the slide and make the fun of sliding visible from the outside. Spectators can watch the sliders, make eye contact, and take photos or videos—the slide becomes an eye-catcher throughout the entire pool area. Straight and curved CrystalTube sections can be flexibly integrated into many types of slides and highlight special moments during the ride, such as steep sections or curves.
Light Effects – From Light Shows to RacingLight
Light effects make every ride more exciting and shape the atmosphere inside the tube. AQUARENA offers a wide range of LED effects—from gently flowing colors to dynamic light patterns like RunningLight, RacingLight, or AquaStrobe, which emphasize speed and direction. Depending on the target audience, effects can be designed to be family-friendly and colorful or more spectacular and adrenaline-focused, ensuring the slide becomes a recurring highlight.
Sound Effects – Soundscapes Inside the Slide
Sound effects complement the lighting and create an immersive acoustic experience inside the slide. Music, ambient sounds, or themed soundscapes accompany the ride and enhance the sense of immersion in specific scenarios—from “sunset” to “thunderstorm.” Intelligent control systems allow sound and volume to be tailored to target audiences, operating hours, or special events.

SmartSlide allows users to customize lighting and sound effects before they even start sliding—for example, via an app or touchscreen in the pool area—and offers gamification elements such as challenges, scenario selection, and personal score tracking. Photosystem captures high-resolution action photos directly inside the slide, which can be printed in the exit area or sent as an e-card—ideal for sharing on social media and generating additional revenue. Complementary effects such as DynamicSkyEffects or CinemaProjection create themed worlds in the starting area and make the attraction the centerpiece of the water park.
Thermal and Sound Insulation – Comfort and Energy Efficiency
AQUARENA’s thermal and sound insulation reduces energy consumption and heating costs while improving the indoor climate in landing halls and slide areas. The insulation significantly reduces the constant cold draft in the landing hall, creating a comfortable indoor environment for swimmers. Depending on the slide type, insulated tube slides achieve U-values ranging from approximately 0.54 to 0.59 W/m²K with an insulation thickness of around 80 mm, which improves the energy performance of the entire facility. Retrofitting thermal and sound insulation is also possible for existing AQUARENA tube slides, allowing swimming pools to modernize their facilities step by step.
