Since 1981, for more than 40 years, AQUARENA has been changing the world of slides with enthusiasm, passion and innovation. At two locations, in Jettingen, Germany and in Grafenwörth, Austria, with 35 permanent employees, AQUARENA continues to grow.
Own assembly teams build in perfection the plants, which were previously made by the engineers and technicians in elaborate 3-D constructions.
As early as 1986, AQUARENA was the first manufacturer ever to design the seamless tube slide. What was considered an absolute novelty at that time is taken for granted today.
With the development of the AquaLoop, AQUARENA has turned the slide market upside down.

New developments and innovations contribute to the constant attractiveness of the swimming pools.

AQUARENA supports operators from the initial idea through to the completed attraction and beyond. Working closely with water parks, spas, hotels, and cruise ships, the company develops customized concepts that delight visitors and are economically viable—including consulting on attraction mix, safety, energy efficiency, and targeting specific audiences.
Planning, Design, and Implementation—All Under One Roof
From the first sketch to the grand opening, AQUARENA handles everything under one roof: technical planning, custom design, production, delivery, and installation of water slides and water attractions. This results in complete adventure worlds featuring body slides, tube slides, AdrenalinSlides, AquaKids World, spray parks, climbing structures, and slide towers that blend seamlessly into the existing architecture.
Service, Maintenance, and Lifespan Extension
To ensure that facilities remain safe and attractive for many years, AQUARENA offers a comprehensive service and maintenance program—ranging from regular inspections and repairs to the refurbishment of older slides. Operators benefit from professional care of GRP surfaces, drip-free joints, retrofits, and modernizations that extend the service life and safeguard investments in the long term.
Safety, Documentation, and Inspection
With specialized services such as SlideInspector, AQUARENA provides transparent safety and condition reports for the facilities. Based on these reports, operators can optimize their maintenance planning, verifiably fulfill inspection requirements, and offer their guests a safe riding experience at all times.
Enhanced Experience with Accessories and Special Features
In addition to the main attraction, AQUARENA offers a wide range of accessories and specialized solutions: staircases and slide towers, thermal insulation, sound insulation, lighting and sound effects, as well as modern CrystalTube elements made of transparent acrylic. These allow operators to specifically enhance existing facilities, create new attraction highlights, and transform water parks into major visitor magnets.

Founded by Uwe Hartwigsen.
1991
Production of our elements in a vacuum process with an absolutely smooth surface..
1996
New Foundation of AQUARENA Freizeitanlagen GmbH by taking over the slide division of KVS, Krems, Austria.
Transfer of the shares of Uwe Hartwigsen to Jochen Bohnet, Rainer Braun and Jörg Hartwigsen.
1998
Foundation of FGGT by taking over the slide division from SGGT.
Retirement from Uwe Hartwigsen of the company.
1999
Developement and construction up of the first heat- and sound insulation.
2000
Developement of the AquaRiver.
2002
First children’s adventure worlds are being built.

Construction of the world’s first CrystalTube.

Fusion with FGGT.
